NGO & Charitable Foundation Registration in Lviv: Legalize Your Good Cause

Lviv has always been a centre of civic activism and volunteering. However, to scale your good work, receive grants, officially collect donations and cooperate with international donors, an initiative alone is not enough. Official legal status is required.

O'LAW is your fast start in the legal field. We help volunteers and activists transform an idea into an official organization that is protected by law and trusted by society.

Which to Choose: NGO or Charitable Foundation?

This is the first question we resolve in the consultation. The choice depends on the purpose of the activity:

Public Organization (NGO)

Brings people together to protect shared interests (social, cultural). Has membership, and members can influence management.

Charitable Foundation

Accumulates assets to help others. Has no membership — only founders. The main purpose is collecting and distributing funds/assets.

Key Benefit: Non-Profit Status

The main goal is inclusion in the Register of Non-Profit Institutions. This grants the right not to pay corporate income tax (18%) and to spend all donations on statutory activities.
We draft articles of association that are guaranteed to pass the tax authority review (requirements of Article 133.4 of the Tax Code).
